Publichealthcamenext,anditchangedwhatIwantedtobuild.StudyingatMivaOpenUniversity,Ikeptmeetingthesameproblemfromdifferentdirections:recordsthatliveonpaperandgetlostbetweenclinics,patientsretellingtheirhistoryateveryvisit,outbreakdatathatreachesdecisionmakersweekslate.Thoseareinformationproblems,andinformationproblemsarewhatIknowhowtoworkon.
ThatiswhereVitaLinkcomesfrom.ItbeganasSwitchHealthin2024andhasgrownintoahealthcareoperatingsystem:onepatientidentity,onerecord,andthereportingtoolspublichealthteamsneed.Inearly2026mySIWESplacementwithTheLeprosyMissionNigeriaputmeonthePROSKINproject,aroundleprosyandskinNTDsurveillance,andIbuilttheorganisation'soperationsplatformalongsideit.
Next,Iwanttogodeeperintoresearch.IamwritingonAIadoptioninpublichealthandondigitaldatasystemsforfamilyplanning,andIplacedsecondattheISS2026AIHackathonrunbyIHVN.AfterIgraduateinDecember2027Iplantodoamaster'sthatbringshealthdata,epidemiologyandsoftwaretogether.
